Started by Dan Levene, the Archive has passed through various institutional frameworks, and has now ended up at the University of Exeter. The Jewish-Aramaic incantation bowls are the best (and pretty much only) source for Judaism in the Sasanian world in late antiquity, as well as comprising one of our most important magical archives from any cultural context.
